Job summary

Millennium Space Systems seeks a Ground Systems Engineer to design, develop, and deliver large-scale mission control systems. You will work with software developers and customers to install solutions at factory and customer sites, contributing to proposals and sustaining systems post-launch.

The role involves requirements definition, testing, and integration across government-furnished and Millennium systems, with on-site work and active security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 5 or more years' experience in satellite ground/spacecraft systems
• This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) pre-start, (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Responsibilities

• Lead definition of requirements for ground hardware and software
• Help manage customer relationships directly with trade studies, development and testing for meeting system’s mission requirements
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large-scale mission control systems
• Lead with other Millennium staff to support testing on components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations
• Develop plans and procedures to integrate Millennium software applications into government-furnished software and infrastructure
• Oversee integrated system test events bridging Millennium-developed products and government-furnished systems
• Design interfaces and implementation plans for mission data processing applications to support payload elements and our programs’ user segments
• Support ground systems during on-orbit activities, including launch, early operations, on-orbit test, normal operations, and end-of-life operations
• Support proposals for new ground systems in support of new business efforts
