Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college courses in mechanical engineering, business admin, transportation management, and business management preferred.
• Five years of mechanical maintenance and repair in industrial vehicle operation; two years in admin/supervisory role.
• Ability to maximize fleet utilization and shop productivity.
• Ability to lift continually up to 70 lbs.
• Drug test and federal background check required.
• Own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Directs a preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment.
• Keeps detailed records of all fleet vehicles and tracks fleet expenses.
• Administers testing and inspection programs for vehicle parts and materials.
• Directs a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work performance.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work to meet objectives with efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment.
