Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced maintenance supervisor to lead our preventive maintenance program for fleet vehicles. You will direct daily activities, ensure compliance with specifications, and optimize shop productivity.

Ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 5 years in mechanical maintenance, supervisory experience, own tools, and ability to lift 70 lbs. A background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college courses in mechanical engineering, business admin, transportation management, and business management preferred.
• Five years of mechanical maintenance and repair in industrial vehicle operation; two years in admin/supervisory role.
• Ability to maximize fleet utilization and shop productivity.
• Ability to lift continually up to 70 lbs.
• Drug test and federal background check required.
• Own tools required.

What you will be doing

• Directs a preventive maintenance program to minimize cost and maximize use of equipment.
• Detailed record keeping of all fleet vehicles and the organization and tracking of fleet expenses.
• Administers a testing and inspection program to determine quality, suitability, and compliance with specifications for vehicles, parts accessories, and materials.
• Directs a quantity and quality control program to maintain satisfactory levels of work performance.
• Plans, organizes, and directs the work of the duties to meet objectives with the most efficient use of personnel, facilities and equipment.

What we are looking for:

• Five years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair in an industrial vehicle operation, including two years in an administrative or supervisory capacity.
• Must be able to maximize fleet utilization and ensure maximum shop productivity.
• Must be able to lift continually up to 70lbs
• Must pass a drug test and a federal background check
• Must have own tools
