Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking a Fleet Reliability Intern to design, build, and deploy hardware for our global network of ground stations. You’ll work hands-on with real hardware and partner with electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams to meet ambitious timelines.

You will gain exposure to ground support equipment, wire harnesses, and deployment across sites, while developing practical skills in reliability, testing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration during a 12-week Summer 2026

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate program in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Willingness to relocate to Los Angeles, CA for 12 weeks in Summer 2026.
• Ability to work in a professional, cross-functional team with engineers and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own a ground station hardware project from inception through design, production, and deployment.
• Build ground support equipment (GSE) and wire harnesses and test setups.
• Support site operations, troubleshoot issues with urgency across global sites.
• Collaborate with mentor engineers across electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams.
• Learn and apply hands-on problem solving on real-world hardware.
