Job summary

Nammo Energetics Inc. in Perry, Florida, is expanding its solid rocket motor manufacturing facility.

We seek a hands-on engineering leader to design and develop manufacturing equipment and tooling, lead equipment projects end-to-end, and collaborate with automation, fabrication, and production teams to scale a new facility. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in related design/automation, strong 3D CAD skills, hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, and proven project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical equipment design, manufacturing engineering, or automation systems.
• Experience designing production equipment, fixtures, tooling, or automated machinery.
• Strong 3D CAD design capability.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic drawings and schematics.
• Experience managing projects from concept through implementation.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve automated and semi-automated production equipment.
• Create mechanical and electromechanical fixtures, tooling, and machine systems.
• Support hydraulic and pneumatic system design and integration.
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models.
• Manage projects from concept, design, fabrication, installation, and startup.
• Coordinate with machine vendors and fabrication partners.
• Assist in defining technical scopes and equipment specifications.
• Support equipment validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Drive process and equipment improvements to support production, quality, and safety goals.
