Job summary

Nammo Perry, a Florida center of excellence for munitions and pyrotechnic products, seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Design Engineer to maintain and enhance automated production equipment. You will design fixtures, evaluate hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and efficiency.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in automated machine design, with Autodesk Inventor 2024 proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
• Advanced 3D design capability with Autodesk Inventor 2024; 8+ years' experience preferred.
• Designing and maintaining automated assembly machines (Swanson, Bodine or similar) with 5+ years' experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings.
• Ability to follow projects through to completion and PLC code.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter; able to work independently to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate special projects, including design and fabrication of production equipment.
• Evaluate mechanical, electromechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for yield and throughput.
• Develop fixtures and machines to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Process Engineers to write scopes for new equipment procurement.
• Ensure fabrication and installation meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors through concept, design, fabrication, and setup.
• Maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
