Job summary

Magnolia Oil & Gas Operating LLC in College Station, TX, seeks an Ops Tech focused on ground disturbance. Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, you will respond to TX811 locate requests, mark utilities, and maintain digital mapping, ensuring markings are clear and compliant before any excavation.

You will coordinate with excavators, contractors, and Magnolia teams, track ground-disturbance activities and costs, participate in safety meetings, and support damage prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of oil and gas production or field operations experience.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office for cost tracking and reporting.
• Experience with TX811 systems and GIS/mapping tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate recordkeeping.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines including HSE, Field Operations, and more.

Responsibilities

• Respond to TX811 locate requests and assess proposed excavation areas.
• Accurately mark underground utilities and assets to company standards and safety practices.
• Maintain digital mapping records and asset locations; coordinate with Magnolia teams and third-party stakeholders before work begins.
• Provide updates to the Data Analytics Manager to keep field records current.
• Track activities and costs associated with ground-disturbance work.
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
