Job summary

USIC is seeking individuals to join the Advanced Gas Operations team for outdoor field work as gas line locators. The role involves using locating equipment, marking areas, and performing occasional hand digging to prevent damage to underground infrastructure.

We offer comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Prior locating experience is not required, with training provided; candidates must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proficient with basic technology; read locate tickets/maps.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark the area with paint and flags.
• Some hand digging to unearth gas lines may be required.
• Follow all company, client, state, and federal damage prevention guidelines.
• Locate other utilities in addition to gas lines as project requires.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
