Magnolia Oil & Gas in Texas is seeking an Ops Tech to join the Compression Team. You will troubleshoot VRU, Gas Jack, and Quincy pumps, perform field audits, and assist with installations, moves, and releases.

You will monitor VRU units, coordinate with compression vendors and Magnolia field personnel, and help identify operational issues. This role requires strong communication, a safety mindset, and the ability to work across disciplines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year compression ops experience preferred.
• At least 3 years oil and gas production or field ops experience required.
• Ability to use basic maintenance management software.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and MS Office for cost tracking and reports.
• Ability to work across disciplines including HSE, Compression, Electrical, I&E, and Chemicals.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding service providers and safety leadership to vendors.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform field audits and document findings.
• Identify and eliminate safety hazards with compression vendors as per HSER.
• Work with Magnolia field personnel to identify operational issues.
• Track compression costs and update records for new installations, swaps, and releases.
• Install winterization equipment for compression equipment.
• Size compression equipment based on facility needs.
• Verify environmental pots are in working order.
• Coordinate VRU maintenance and opportunities to improve runtime.
• Coordinate and verify air compressor maintenance.
• Follow up on equipment repairs to ensure quality and operation.
• Participate in an every-other-weekend on-call rotation and respond to operational calls.
