Job summary

Relativity Space is hiring a Lead Avionics Test Systems Engineer, Ground Systems, to own and evolve critical ground hardware for Terran R testing and integration. You’ll drive end‑to‑end ground system projects across propulsion, avionics, software, test, and operations, delivering robust solutions on tight schedules.

The role emphasizes ownership of design, build, and validation, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and integration with flight hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years designing and deploying test/electrical integration systems in aerospace or high‑reliability environments.
• Expert knowledge of electrical signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, build, and integrate ground systems for engine test, vehicle integration, and launch ops.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with vehicle, propulsion, avionics, software, test, and operations teams.
• Oversee fabrication, bring‑up, and validation of test systems, including electrical testing, calibration, and functional checks.
• Author ICDs and engineering release drawings to ensure alignment between ground support equipment and flight/avionics hardware.
• Work with safety, operations, and launch teams to ensure systems are compliant and operable under high‑stakes conditions.
