Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking an experienced specialist to lead environmental testing operations for Terran R avionics development and production hardware. You will configure data acquisition systems, verify test procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flight readiness and compliance.

The role requires hands-on execution of vibration, shock, and thermal tests, with strong interpretation of drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental testing operations in aerospace/defense or high-reliability hardware.
  • Hands-on execution of ATP and environmental test procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Experience with vibration, shock, and thermal testing setups, instrumentation, and handling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hands-on environmental testing operations for Terran R avionics development and production hardware (vibration, shock, thermal).
  • Execute QTP and ATP with minimal supervision ensuring safe, repeatable tests.
  • Set up instrumentation and teardown of test configurations across vibration tables, shock systems, and thermal chambers.
  • Configure data acquisition systems and sensors (accelerometers, thermocouples) for test execution and data collection.
  • Interpret drawings, procedures, schematics, and hardware requirements to ensure correct test setup.
  • Serve as a resource in the lab, supporting test readiness, fixture setup, and flight/development hardware config control.
  • Collaborate with test engineers, avionics, manufacturing, and quality to troubleshoot issues and improve workflows.
  • Export and communicate test data to engineers for post-test analysis and disposition.
