Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Lynnwood, WA is hiring an Arborist Ground Person to join a tree care crew and gain practical field experience. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, hands-on training, and career development on commercial and residential properties.

You will learn to prune trees, rig, cabling, bracing, and removal of hazardous trees while operating hand tools and equipment under supervision. A driver's license is required and credentials or study in related fields are encouraged.

Qualifications

• On-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture or related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in tree care or landscaping preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and safely perform pruning, rigging, cabling, bracing, and removal of hazardous trees.
• Properly maintain and operate tools and equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Follow work zone safety procedures and assist climbers and crew leaders.
• Assist with driving, backing, dumping and parking duties.
