Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join our tree care crew. This entry-level role provides hands-on field training in pruning, rigging, cabling, and hazardous-tree removal on residential and commercial properties.

You will operate equipment, follow safety procedures, and support climbers and crew leaders. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a valid driver’s license are valued assets for this position.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training in arboriculture.
• Occasional driving duties and field work in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred; not required for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Pruning trees and cabling/bracing as directed by arborists.
• Rigging and removal of hazardous trees on residential/commercial properties.
• Maintain and operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts safely.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and crew leaders on ground and aloft.
• Follow work zone safety rules and Bartlett safety policies.
• Support with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties as needed.
