Bartlett Tree Experts in Northampton, MA is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join a professional outdoor team. This entry-level role offers hands-on, on-the-job training in pruning, rigging, cabling, hazardous-tree removal, and equipment operation on residential and commercial properties.

You will work with arborists and crew leaders, learning safety procedures, and contributing to a safe, high-quality tree-care program.

Qualifications

• Learning through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, or horticulture experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Pruning trees
• Rigging
• Cabling and bracing
• Removal of hazardous trees
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Implementing work zone safety procedures
• Assisting Arborist Climbers and Arborist Crew Leaders working on the ground and aloft
• Assisting with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties
