Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is seeking a Salon Leader to manage grooming shop operations, supervise staff, and deliver exceptional service to pet parents and their pets. You will oversee scheduling, training, safety, and audits while driving growth through customer engagement and community events.

Responsibilities include hiring and onboarding groomers, managing supplies within budget, coaching performance, and maintaining grooming SOPs and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years experience grooming pets under supervision by a professional groomer
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Comfortable working with dogs and cats
• Must provide own grooming tools (clippers, blades, shears) or willing to purchase

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the Groom Shop, including scheduling, safety checklists, and salon audits
• Ensure grooming SOPs and salon cleanliness standards are maintained
• Place monthly supply orders within the salon budget with SM approval
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new Groomers and Groom Technicians, mentor during training, evaluate grooming skills
• Communicate daily/weekly updates to salon team and Store Manager, including sales performance
• Lead weekly staffing and forecast reviews with Store Manager
• Drive salon growth through customer outreach, events, and partnerships with rescue groups
• Provide professional grooming services and safe pet handling, maintaining records and equipment
