Petco seeks a Grooming Salon Leader to manage operations and the grooming team while delivering expert services for our customers’ pets. You will lead scheduling, coaching, and performance for groomers, ensuring safety and exceptional care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, growth, and maintaining the highest grooming standards. You will work in a fast-paced Petco grooming center, collaborating with store management to hit sales targets, train staff, and uphold Petco policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a professional groomer.
• 1-2 years salon management experience preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with pet parents and grooming team members.
• Expert knowledge of various dog breeds, grooming requirements, and standards.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming as a career.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the grooming salon, ensure smooth workflows and scheduling.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise grooming staff, provide coaching and evaluations.
• Create and manage efficient grooming schedules to maximize productivity.
• Monitor salon performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement.
• Interact professionally with pet parents, offer grooming recommendations and resolve concerns.
• Independently perform professional grooming services according to owner instructions and breed standards.
