Job summary

Petco seeks a Grooming Salon Leader to direct salon operations and lead a team of groomers. You will deliver top-tier grooming services, ensure safety and welfare of pets, and coach staff to achieve exceptional customer experiences.

The role requires strong leadership, grooming expertise, and a passion for animals. You will drive performance, manage schedules, and uphold Petco standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as professional groomer and/or completed grooming program.
• Strong leadership with 1–2 years of salon management preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with pet parents and team.
• Expert knowledge of dog breeds and grooming standards.
• Ability to lead, train, and develop people.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day grooming salon operations, scheduling, and inventory.
• Recruit, train, and supervise grooming staff; provide coaching and evaluations.
• Create efficient grooming schedules to maximize capacity and meet demand.
• Monitor revenue, customer satisfaction, and staff productivity; act on insights.
• Collaborate with store management to hit salon targets and growth.
