Job summary

Petsense by Tractor Supply is offering a Paragon training program to prepare candidates for careers in grooming and bathing. The program covers Level 1 (5–8 weeks) and Level 2 (10 weeks), using hands-on practice, book work, online exams, and video reviews.

Trainees earn a complete set of grooming tools upon successful completion. The role requires flexibility with shifts, a high school diploma, and a compassionate approach to animals.

Qualifications

• Experience: Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion for animals.
• Tools will be provided while enrolled in Paragon.

Responsibilities

• Follow and demonstrate Petsense Mission and Values.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts including evenings and weekends as needed.
• Work through the 15 week Paragon training program (Level 1 PT or FT, Level 2 FT).
• Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers and scheduling appointments.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment for all team members and customers.
• Greet customers and pets, ensuring a thorough 7‑point check‑in and safety of animals.
• Maintain and sanitize grooming tools and equipment to prevent injuries and spread of disease.
