Chuck & Don's in Minnesota is seeking a Groomer Apprentice to join our pet care team. You will participate in a mentorship program, learn grooming techniques, and assist with a full range of services from bathing to trimming.

The role emphasizes customer service, patience with pets, and reliable scheduling across evenings and weekends. You’ll receive a high-quality grooming toolkit, structured training, and ongoing guidance from senior groomers to build advanced skills and provide an upscale

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum 6 months of professional experience in pet bathing/grooming assistance.
• Must complete 60/90 day bather assessment period with the company.
• Passion for dog bathing and promoting well-being of pets.
• Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Exceptional active-listening and customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete grooming tasks including bathing, brushing, blow drying, de-matting, trimming hair; gland expression; teeth brushing; nail clipping and grinding.
• Provide a thorough hands-on pet check-in and check-out process for each pet and pet parent.
• Engage with pet parents and pets, share product knowledge, and educate them on services.
• Offer enhancements to meet pets’ needs to support business growth.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and rebook with pet parents for ongoing care.
