Petco in Des Moines, IA is seeking a professional Pet Stylist to deliver expert grooming services for a variety of breeds. You will bathe, dry, trim, and style dogs, ensure safety and comfort, and communicate grooming recommendations to pet parents with empathy and clarity.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or prior professional grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in grooming scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, and dryers.
• Prioritize safety and well-being of pets and deliver excellent customer service to pet parents.
• Educate and advise pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
