Job summary

Whole Foods Market, Inc. is hiring a Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, focusing on profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor and regulatory compliance. Candidate will lead and develop Team Members and uphold health and safety standards.

Role supports store programs and initiatives, delivering courteous and efficient service to customers and staff, while maintaining strong vendor relations and high morale across the team.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience
• 6+ months supervisory experience
• Strong customer service focus

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures paperwork for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Acts as point person in absence of Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters a positive environment of teamwork and morale.
• Responds to customer needs and questions to delight customers.
• Trains and counsels Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Delivers timely performance evaluations and aligns with WFM vision.
