Job summary

Whole Foods Market Massachusetts is seeking a Team Member to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, focusing on profitability, merchandising, labor, and regulatory compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members and provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and staff.

You will maintain store standards, analyze sales with the Team Leader, develop vendor relations, train and mentor teammates, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports and labor.
• Demonstrates advanced product knowledge and maintains awareness of new products.
• Maintains vendor relationships and ensures paperwork is submitted for vendor processing.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Acts as point person in absence of Team Leader and upholds high retail standards.
• Fosters positive teamwork and exceptional morale.
• Monitors customer flow and directs Team Members to delight customers.
