Qualifications

• Passion for customer service and total engagement with customers and team members.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Creative thinking to resolve issues and improve the shopper experience.
• Ability to influence others and build rapport with customers.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to deliver an exceptional shopping experience across checkout and service areas.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Support training and cross-training of team members to boost productivity.
• Participate in department scheduling to balance engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness and proper rotation according to policies.
• Lead in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display when applicable.
• Support Meijer culture and inclusion initiatives.
• Operate registers and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories to meet objectives.
• May Lead activities in other departments as needed.
