Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 3+ years in supermarket leadership/management.
• Working knowledge of store operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Basic math for discounts, margins, and quantities.
• Ability to verify vendor charges and prepare reports (inventory/receiving).
• Excellent organization and follow-through; ability to stand long hours.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the Store Director in fulfilling responsibilities.
• Manage store personnel in the absence of the Store Director.
• Oversee training and development of employees across the store.
• Foster teamwork, customer service, and high performance.
• Greet customers and monitor sales floor activity.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Identify pricing discrepancies and inform appropriate staff.
• Check ads and inserts for pricing accuracy on shelves.
• Enforce safety standards per Loss Prevention and Risk Management.
• Oversee sanitation, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
• Assist in profitable store operations and department performance.
• Enforce receiving procedures per company policy.
• Prepare weekly schedules based on projected sales/ workload.
• Assist merchandise planning for displays to maximize sales/profits.
• Monitor dairy, bakery, frozen, and grocery shelves for freshness/price.
• Adhere to Employee Handbook policies.
