Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; college education helpful but not required.
• At least 3 years in supermarket management or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of store operations and leadership.
• Strong communication with customers, employees, and vendors.
• Basic math for discounts, margins, and inventory counts.
• Ability to verify invoices and complete inventory/receiving reports.

Responsibilities

• Actively support the Store Director in fulfilling responsibilities.
• Manage store personnel in the absence of the store director.
• Assist with training and development of all employees.
• Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and service.
• Greet customers and monitor sales floor activity.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Identify pricing discrepancies and inform the appropriate staff.
• Check ads and inserts to ensure correct shelf pricing.
• Enforce safety standards as directed by Loss Prevention.
• Oversee sanitation, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to profitable store operations across departments.
• Prepare weekly schedules based on sales and workload.
• Plan merchandise displays to maximize sales and profits.
• Monitor dairy, bread, frozen, and grocery shelves for freshness.
• Adhere to all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
• Support in cash office and guest service as needed.
• Conduct daily refrigeration and safety checks.
• Assist in any department as needed.
