City Market Co-op is seeking a Grocery Shift Lead to direct the work of grocery stockers, while keeping all grocery areas well stocked, staffed, and maintained.

This role reports to Grocery Management and operates in a union environment (UE Local 203). Starting wage is $18.59/hour, reflecting the non-exempt, Grade 4 status. This is a valuable chance to grow in a community-owned business that supports local foods and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• 1 year retail or supervisory experience required.
• 18 months of customer service experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of grocery stockers and ensure all grocery sub departments are well stocked and maintained.
• Assist Grocery Management in communicating policy, tracking employee performance, training, and assigning tasks.
