People’s Food Co-op is seeking a Lead Clerk in the Grocery Department. The role focuses on customer service, product ordering, inventory tasks, training staff, and daily department operations. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday with morning shifts and pays $17.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a grocery department preferred.
• Experience with ordering and inventory control is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with department manager on daily activities and needs.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and pricing of products.
• Train new staff and support daily operations of the department.
• Maintain cleanliness and product presentation in the department.
• Ensure staff respond to customer questions promptly and professionally.
• Assist with promotions and understand current sales events.
