Job summary

Smart & Final in San Diego is seeking a Service Clerk to maintain carts, assist customers with purchases and loading, check prices, and restock shelves. The role involves frequent lifting, facing aisles, and ensuring a clean store environment.

The position reports to Store Manager/Senior Assistant Manager and offers IT-friendly tasks with opportunities to contribute to a fast-paced grocery operation. Starting rate is $17.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with customers and co-workers.
• Willingness to assist customers with purchases and loading.
• Able to follow simple instructions and pricing codes.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts inside the store and in the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and vehicles.
• Check prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Return merchandise to proper shelves and face products as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness at store entrance and throughout the day.
