Job summary

Chedraui USA’s Smart & Final store in Venice seeks a Service Clerk to help customers, stock carts, check prices, and assist with loading. The position offers opportunity to work in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Starting compensation is $18.50 per hour. Benefits include a 401(k) plan and continuing education opportunities. You will interact with customers and coworkers daily while providing friendly service.

Qualifications

• Read and write English; interact with the public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills mentioned in job materials.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot.
• Assist customers with loading merchandise into carts and loading into their vehicles.
• Check retail prices on shelf for check stand personnel.
• Return go-backs to proper shelves and keep aisles faced.
• Monitor cleanliness at store entrance and throughout the day, including restrooms.
