Job summary

Chedraui USA’s Smart & Final banner in Los Angeles is seeking a Service Clerk for 823 Los Angeles. The role centers on delivering friendly customer service, maintaining carts, and assisting shoppers, with prices checks and shelf stocking supported by store operations.

Starting rate is $18.50 per hour. The position involves loading assistance, price verification, merchandise stocking, and maintaining clean facilities to enhance the shopping experience for our community.

Qualifications

• Read and write English, interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and assist customers with purchases and loading to their cars.
• Check prices on products and return merchandise to shelves.
• Parking lot and store maintenance; keep entrances clean.
• Face merchandise and ensure shelves are stocked and organized.
• Monitor cleanliness of store throughout the day, restrooms as needed.
