Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate will be responsible for the following duties, along with other tasks as assigned:

• Maintain a well-stocked, organized, and appealing Grocery department to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive sales, stock and rotate merchandise for freshness, and ensure products are within easy reach for customers.
• Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
• Apply proper stocking techniques, ensure merchandise is saleable with correct pricing and signage.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking down, and storing deliveries using appropriate equipment (training provided).
• Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy, removing unsellable products.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following schedules and health and OSHA standards.
• Meet productivity standards, follow work methods, and control shrinkage. Comply with security policies.
• Assist with related duties such as baling cardboard, if trained (training provided).
• Ensure smooth department and store operations through cooperation with team members and supervisors. Strive for continuous improvement.
• Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not currently have supervisory duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
