Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive incremental sales. Stock and rotate merchandise to ensure freshness. Keep products within easy customer reach. Store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines.
• Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and help resolve concerns politely and professionally.
• Apply proper stocking techniques, ensure merchandise is correctly located, and priced with appropriate signage.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking down, and storing deliveries (training provided).
• Handle damaged or discontinued items per company policy, removing unsellable products.
• Maintain cleanliness in the department following cleaning schedules and health guidelines.
• Meet productivity standards and adhere to security and shrink control policies.
• Assist with related duties such as baling cardboard if trained.
• Ensure smooth department and store operations through teamwork and continuous performance improvement.
• Use all provided PPE properly, including gloves, safety cutters, and footwear.
• Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred; no prior experience required. Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without accommodation.
