Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the following functions, along with other duties as assigned:

1. Maintaining the Grocery department by keeping it well-stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Building displays to drive sales, stocking and rotating merchandise for freshness, and storing excess merchandise properly.
2. Greeting customers with a smile, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
3. Applying proper stocking techniques to ensure products are correctly located and priced on shelves.
4. Assisting with receiving, unloading, checking-in, and storing deliveries, using power or hand jacks if trained (training provided).
5. Handling damaged or discontinued items according to company policy and removing unsellable products.
6. Ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in the department by following cleaning schedules and health guidelines.
7. Maintaining productivity standards, work methods, and shrink control, while complying with security policies.
8. Assisting with related duties such as baling cardboard if trained (training provided).
9. Ensuring smooth department and store operations through cooperation with team members and supervisors, and striving to improve job performance.
10. Utilizing all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
11. Assisting in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.
