Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The associate will be responsible for the following duties, among others:

1. Maintain the Grocery department by keeping it well-stocked, organized, and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive sales, stock and rotate merchandise for freshness, and ensure products are within easy reach.
2. Greet customers with a smile, answer questions, and resolve concerns politely and professionally.
3. Apply proper stocking techniques, ensure merchandise is saleable with correct pricing and signage.
4. Assist with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries, using a power jack or hand jack if trained (training provided).
5. Handle damaged or discontinued items, removing unsellable products according to company policy.
6. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department, following schedules and guidelines to meet health and OSHA standards.
7. Meet productivity and shrink control standards, and comply with security policies.
8. Assist with related duties such as baling cardboard if trained (training provided).
9. Ensure smooth department and store operations through teamwork and continuous improvement.
10. Utilize all provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly.
11. Assist in other departments as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not currently have supervisory responsibilities.
