Job summary

Redner’s in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Receiver in the Grocery department to efficiently receive and verify merchandise delivered through the back door. You will ensure credits for stale items and maintain the vendor receiving log.

Key duties include processing invoices, inspecting deliveries for quality and pricing, handling damaged goods, and safeguarding the receiving area. This is a non-exempt, on-site role requiring physical effort.

Qualifications

• Ability to properly verify items against invoices.
• Strong organizational skills for filing and reviewing invoices.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an accurate Vendor Receiving Log.
• Verify deliveries meet quality, count, and pricing standards.
• Process product credits per policy.
• Check in all deliveries at receiving doors.
• Handle damaged/spoiled products per policy.
• Process in-store transfers as needed.
• Control flow of vendor traffic at receiving doors.
• Follow Vendor Discrepancy Program procedures.
• Maintain security via Visitor Badge Program.
• Post vendor invoices to the receiving log accurately.
• Keep doors secured during shift and seal at shift end.
• Observe vendor activity and unauthorized access in receiving area.
