Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Receiver in the Grocery department to efficiently and accurately receive merchandise at the back door and verify against vendor invoices. You will maintain a receiving log, process credits, and ensure proper security of the receiving area.

Responsibilities include checking in deliveries, handling damaged goods, managing vendor traffic, and executing store policies. Duties may extend to related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to push or pull large skids of groceries during receiving.
• Strong organizational skills for filing and reviewing vendor invoices.
• Must be able to stand upright for the majority of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain an accurate Vendor Receiving Log.
• Verify deliveries against vendor invoices for quality, count, and price.
• Process product credits per policy.
• Check in all Redner’s deliveries.
• Handle damaged and spoiled products per policy.
• Process in-store transfers.
• Manage vendor traffic through receiving doors.
• Follow the Vendor Discrepancy Program.
• Use Visitor Badge Program for security.
• Post vendor invoices to receiving log and file invoices.
• Maintain door security and seal doors at shift end.
• Remain vigilant for unauthorized persons in receiving area.
• Abide by Employee Handbook policies.
• Keep back room and loading dock area neat.
• Handle other duties assigned by Store Director.
• Inspect fire exits to ensure unblocked.
