Job summary

Price Rite SPRINGFIELD is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries and maintain a neat back room. You will support a safe, smooth operation and protect company assets through precise handling of stock and documentation.

The successful candidate will perform tasks in a fast-paced retail grocery environment, communicate effectively with customers, and work cooperatively with team members to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with various products and avoid allergic reactions.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to cooperate with others and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor grocery storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or returned stock per policy, prioritizing refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Unload trucks and rotate merchandise as required.
