Job summary

Price Rite of SECANE is seeking a Back Room Receiver to efficiently handle the receiving of deliveries, maintain a neat and organized back area, and protect company assets. You will perform duties with safety and accuracy while supporting store operations.

The role offers cross-training across departments and the chance to grow within a retail grocery environment, with emphasis on teamwork and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform bending/reaching tasks.
• Ability to work with food products and tolerate related conditions.
• Tolerance to dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in variable temperatures.
• Customer-friendly interaction with shoppers.
• Teamwork and cooperative spirit.
• Punctual and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the back room and storage areas.
• Handle damaged goods and rotate stock per policy.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity accuracy.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Promote current promotions to customers.
• Follow safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Adhere to CS safety and QA standards for cleanliness and handling.
• Regularly lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs.
• Unload trucks and transport stock as needed.
• Maintain attendance and punctuality; overtime as required.
• Complete department training programs and work cooperatively with team.
