Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused Store Associate at our Albuquerque location. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, maintain a safe and clean environment, and help customers with product questions and recommendations.

Knowledge of department products and strong service orientation are essential. Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, inventory, adhering to food safety standards, and staying informed about promotions.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Second language skills (speaking/reading/writing) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products they've ordered.
• Recommend items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take action as needed.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
