Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a customer-focused team member to support store operations and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will assist with daily tasks, coordinate schedules, and mentor teammates to meet service and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience, including checkout.
• Communicate with team and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Assist with training new team members and cross-training high-potential talent.
• Support department scheduling to improve engagement, service, and profitability.
• Ensure product rotation, dating policies, and freshness meet Meijer standards.
• Guide product ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and display where applicable.
• Lead by example and promote Meijer culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling as needed, and use powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories and support store-wide goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
