Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Grocery Team Member to support receiving, stocking, display, and customer service in line with WFM standards. You will help break down deliveries, stock shelves, and maintain clean, appealing displays while upholding safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in wet and cold environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh displays by front-facing, stocking, checking codes, rotating, and removing out-of-date products.
• Stock and clean grocery shelves, bulk bins, frozen and dairy cases.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and shift supervisor.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep sample areas full and tidy.
• Complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready; attend required trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling; answer phones.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking and merchandising.
• Follow procedures including Weights & Measures, health and sanitation.
• Maintain clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; equipment upkeep.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing signs are accurate.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
