Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company (BGC) is seeking a Department Manager in our grocery division. You will lead department personnel, manage inventory, ensure product displays and safety standards, and drive sales through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training partners, planning and directing work, reviewing financials, and maintaining in-stock levels. A strong focus on safety, compliance, and team development is essential in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and two+ years of related experience
• Manager Food Safety certification required
• HIPAA certification required
• AML certification and various regulatory certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train and develop partners; plan and direct work
• Review historical data to predict sales from ads and promotions
• Maintain product levels and quality control in the grocery department
• Promote customer service and sales-building practices
• Ensure stock conditions and accurate inventory paperwork
