Job summary

Kroger in North Vernon, IN is seeking a Department Manager to assist in planning, staffing, training and directing Grocery Department associates, while ensuring prompt, courteous service to customers. You will manage staffing needs, use CAO to order merchandise, maintain pricing and signage, and oversee product rotation, display, and floor upkeep to meet safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Manager in organizing work, staffing and training associates for prompt, courteous service.
• Respond to customer and associate inquiries, complaints and questions professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering quantities and track receipts and on-hand balance.
• Price, display and rotate merchandise; ensure proper signage, space allocation and freshness.
• Coach associates in merchandising, customer service and promotional activities.
