Job summary

Meijer in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a part-time team member to provide exceptional customer service and support daily store operations. You’ll engage customers, assist with checkout, stock shelves, and participate in training and coaching for fellow associates.

You will collaborate with leadership to manage daily tasks, ensure product freshness, operate registers as needed, and uphold Meijer's customer-first culture and safety standards. No prior experience required beyond enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience and checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach other team members to exceed service and sales goals.
• Assist in training new team members and cross-training talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to improve engagement and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide compliance with food safety standards and safety practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display where applicable.
• Foster Meijer culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and perform cash handling when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to help achieve goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
