Job summary

ShopRite of Manchester in Lakehurst, NJ is seeking a Grocery Manager to supervise all Grocery Department functions and Associates, aiming to boost sales, profits, and customer experience under the Store Manager's direction.

The role requires leadership, safety, presentation, and efficiency discipline, along with onboarding new staff and maintaining department standards. This is a hands-on senior support role within a union environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math and use computer functions.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Able to work with products and manage environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Grocery Department functions and Associates to meet department goals.
• Enforce ShopRite safety, presentation and efficiency priorities.
• Provide customer service and lead associates to deliver a positive experience.
• Maintain proper staffing and ensure compliance with policies and training.
• Oversee equipment use and safe operation, including power equipment.
