Job summary

ShopRite of Hadley Commons in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Grocery Manager to lead the Grocery Department and its associates. You will direct operations to achieve sales, profit, Customer Experience, and Associate Engagement while upholding ShopRite's service priorities.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to train and onboard staff, and a commitment to safety, friendliness, presentation, and efficiency. Familiarity with local regulations and product handling is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Grocery Department functions and associates.
• Lead safety, friendliness, presentation and efficiency across the department.
• Train onboarding of new department associates and provide feedback.
• Maintain pricing accuracy and product display to standard.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
