Stauffers of Kissel Hill in Mount Joy is seeking a full-time Team Member to manage the Grocery and Dairy/Frozen center store area. Flexible day, evening and weekend availability is required. Starting rate is USD $23.00 per hour, with weekly pay and strong benefits.

Formación

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college/technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and/or hear.
• Occasionally climb and/or balance.

Responsabilidades

• Communicates with Buyers regarding merchandising, new product implementation and pricing; follows Buyer directions.
• Maintains and operates departmental equipment.
• Develops and mentors the Assistant Department Manager to prepare for leadership roles.
• Assigns duties, schedules breaks, work hours and vacations based on business needs.
• Communicates with scan department to resolve discrepancies.
• Devises merchandising plans and plan-o-grams based on ads and profitability.
• Ensures proper cleaning procedures are followed.
• Understands retail label systems and coordinates with Purchasing to ensure correct pricing.
• Functions as a working manager performing department duties as needed.
• Handles damages/returns and ensures credits from vendors.
• Oversees inventories and ordering from approved vendors.
• Trains employees in store policies, procedures, product knowledge and duties.
• Coordinates vendor invoices and inter-company transfers for timely billing.

This is a full time position at our Mount Joy Fresh Foods, requiring flexible day, evening and weekend availability. This position focuses on the management of the center store area of the store (Grocery and Dairy/Frozen).

Starting Rate USD $23.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with Buyers regarding merchandising, new product implementation andappropriate pricing. Promptly follows through with Buyer directions.
• Maintains and operates departmental equipment.
• Develops and mentors the Assistant Department Mgr to prepare them to take on aleadership role within the department (if applicable).
• Assigns duties to workers and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations (ifapplicable) based on the needs of the business and according to upcoming special store events.
• Communicates regularly with scan department to resolve incorrect
• Devise game plans and plan-o-grams for merchandising of the department based on adsand display profitability.
• Follows established cleaning procedures.
• Fully understands the retail label systems, communicates with Scan, General Management,
  and/or Buying teams to ensure correct pricing.
• Functions as a working manager willing to perform any department responsibility as needed
• Handles damages/returns and ensures that proper credits have been received from vendors.
• Has knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to effectively oversee theordering of departmental supplies and merchandise from approved vendors.
• Supervises and performs departmental inventories to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
• Trains employees in store policies, department procedures, product knowledge and jobduties to ensure they are working in a productive and safe manner.
• Coordinates vendor invoices, SKH invoices and inter-company transfers on a daily basis toensure timely billing.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months toone year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to50 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach withhands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and/or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb and/or balance.
