Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Know products in the department and across the store to make helpful suggestions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products customers have ordered and ensure product quality.
• Recommend items to meet customers' needs and wants.
• Check dates and maintain temperature logs for case and cooler temperatures.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to the department manager.
