Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers
• Aim for at least five items per bag and ensure contents are not damaged
• Follow best practices for bagging in various bag types
• Assist customers in unloading merchandise at checkout
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and arrange merchandise
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather baskets
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Clean all areas inside and outside store
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Understand store layout and locate products, perform price checks for cashiers
• Reinforce safety by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed
• Create welcoming environment and answer product questions
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines
