Kroger Co. in Orange, CA is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to provide outstanding customer service at checkout, bag groceries, and keep aisles neat.

You will help customers with loading bags, reinforce safety, follow store policies, and work in a fast-paced environment. Prior retail experience is helpful; training provided.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive to bag at least five items per bag while avoiding damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging with reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of cart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather and return bascarts.
• Clean spills and trash inside store and in parking lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of all store areas.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and help locate products for cashiers.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer product questions.
